RM of BTS has revealed a new face.
RM released the first concept photo for his solo second album “Right Place, Wrong Person” (Right Place, Wrong Person) on BTS’s social media on January 1.
The photo captures the ‘human Kim Namjoon’. Rather than a colorful appearance on stage, he feels free in an everyday space. We collaborated with Hong Kong photographer Wing Xia for this concept photo.
Wing Xia is a well-known photographer who shot the poster for director Wang Jiawei’s movie Happy Together. He collaborated with RM last year for a magazine editorial.
Wing Xia interpreted the meaning of the new song in his own way and expressed it through photography. Wing Xia utilized unique light and contrast to maximize RM’s sensual mood.
He captured him in an unconventional composition. RM’s eyes deepen as he stares straight ahead in a seemingly cramped space. He showed off his model aura without any fancy props.
Big Hit Music said, “Other concept photos will be released on the 3rd and 17th. We worked with new photographers in different regions for each of the upcoming photos,” said BIGHIT Music.
“It will be interesting to see how the three photographers interpret and express ‘Right Place Long Person’, the album title and the main message of the new album.”
The new album talks about universal feelings that everyone has felt at some point in their lives, like being a stranger who doesn’t belong in a place. It contains 11 songs in total. RM wrote all the songs. It will be released on April 24 at 1 pm.

’24 Days Coming Back’ RM collaborates with up-and-coming photographer for second concept photo for solo sophomore album
BTS’s RM has released another concept photo of his natural look.
RM posted the second concept photo for his second solo album “Right Place, Wrong Person” on the team’s official SNS on March 3 at 0:00 KST.
Takahiro Mizushima, an up-and-coming Japanese photographer who is gaining attention for his unique work, participated in the photo shoot. “I was very nervous from the time I received the invitation until the day of the shoot, and as a photographer, I thought a lot about how to photograph RM,” Takahiro Mizushima said.
“But when I talked to RM, my nervousness disappeared in an instant. He was so friendly and approachable, like a good friend, and that made me realize that I should try to photograph him as much as possible.” “I chose the town where I was born and raised as the location because I thought it would capture his honest expression,” he says.
The concept photo follows RM as he travels to Tokyo, Japan, where he enjoys a normal day on the streets. There’s a sense of freedom in the photos as he roams the streets alone and lays on the ground in a relaxed manner.
RM’s solo second album will be released on May 24 at 1pm.
